On Friday, 21st June 2024, SVKM’s Mithibai College, Vile Parle, celebrated International Yoga Day with an event organized by the Department of Philosophy in collaboration with NSS, NCC, and DLLE units. The program highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being. International Yoga instructor and ambassador, Ms. Ankita Sood, was the chief guest. Principal Dr. Krutika Desai addressed the gathering, emphasizing the role of yoga in reducing stress and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Ms. Sood then led a dynamic yoga session, guiding participants through exercises aimed at relaxation and flexibility. The event successfully encouraged both students and teachers to adopt yoga into their daily routines, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

The International Yoga Day event was organized on 21st of June 2023 by the NSS unit in collaboration with the NCC and the DLLE unit to celebrate the importance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being. Ms. Avni Talsania, the guest instructor conducted an engaging yoga session. She guided the participants through a series of yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques.
