National Cadet Corps

Enrollment Drive

N.C.C. Committee started its activities with enrolment drive in July 2022.114 students from different colleges had appeared for enrollment .Through physical tests, written test and interviews 32 new Cades (21 Boys + 11Girls) were enrolled in First Year.

Yoga on International Yoga Day

24 N.C.C. Cadets performed Yoga in College on 21st June, 2022 on the occasion of International Yoga Day.Dr.Pramil;a Sharma has been invited as yoga instructor and resource person for the activity. The principal, teaching staff and other students with NSS Volunteers also joined and performed yoga.

Independence Day Celebrations

Independence Day was celebrated with usual fervor and enthusiasm on 15th August 2022. A platoon of 18 Cadets was commanded by J.U.O. Pinak Mishra.The National Flag was hoisted by Principal Dr.Krutika Desai.Associate N.C.C. Officer (ANO) Lt. D. N. Kurkute, administered the Oath to the cadets. NCC Cadets performed Guards Pyramid show, Bayonet fighting, Section formations and section Attack demonstration on Independence Day. Prizes were given by Principal to NCC Cadets best in Drill, Weapon Training, Firing, Turnout, Command, Cultural and Overall activities. program was attended by P.I. Staff of 1Mah.Armd.Sqn.NCC unit, staff members and students of our college.

Achievements

  • One of our Ex.N.C.C. Cadet Dikshi Makwana (NCC “C” Cert.Feb.2022)has cleared CDS in Feb.2022 of UPSC,appeared SSB(DSSCW39709) at Allahabad in Dec.2022 through NCC Special Entry and has been recommended in Indian Army as an Officer.
  • One of our Ex NCC Cadet Aditya Patane(NCC “C” Cert.Feb.2021) has been selected in Indian Army as Agniveer in Nov.2022 in Assam Rifles and undergoing his training from Dec.2022 in Gorkha regiment Assam.
  • One of our Ex NCC Cadet Ranjit Yadav (NCC “C” Cert.Feb.2021) has been selected in Indian Army as Agniveer in Nov.2022 in Maratha Light Infantry and undergoing his training at Belgaon from Dec.2022.
  • Seven Ex-NCC Cadet has appeared in SSB Centers Allahabad and Bhopal.
  • 14 NCC Cadets appeared for Agniveer Enrolment drive in Oct-Nov 2022 of which 5 cleared physical and medical and Two got selected.
  • JUO Aniket Thakur and JUO Pinak Mishra got Silver medals(Best Cadet and Firing) in IGSC at Pune in May 2022
  • SW Cadet Archana Upadhyaya got Silver medal in cultural activity in Independence Day Camp at Delhi in Aug.2022

Social Activities

As usual every year our N.C.C. Cadets do social activities like Tree Plantation, Blood Donation, Polio immunization, Awareness rallies, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Ganpati Emersion duties.

  • 12 N.C.C. Cadets participated in Puneet Sagar Abhiyan on 14th July, 2022 at Dadar Chowpatty. Cadets also presented Nukkad drama on cleanliness awareness.
  • 20 NCC Cadets and ANO participated in Har Ghar Tiranga Rally on 16th Aug. 2022 at marine lines.
  • 24 N.C.C. Cadets participated in Beach cleaning activity organized by Mumbai “B” Group, Maharashtra DTE and DG NCC on 10th September 2022 at girgaon Chowpatty. The event was inaugurated by Mr.Girish Mahajan,Sports minister, Maharashtra state.
  • 17 N.C.C. Cadets  participated in beach cleaning activity organized by coast guard on 17th Sept.2022 at Juhu beach. The event was inaugurated by Mr.Bhagatsingh Koshayari, Governor of Maharashtra.
  • 3 N.C.C. Cadets donated blood in blood donation camp organized by1 Mah.Armd.Sqn.NCC on 26th November, 2022 at Vartak College vasai.
  • 43 N.C.C. Cadets participated in beach cleaning activity under Puneet Sagar Abhiyan on 9thDec.2022 in co ordination with MCGM K-East ward.
  • 7 N.C.C. Cadets participated in Swachta campaign on 12th Jan.20222 at Juhu tara road vile parle (W).
  • 9 NCC Cadets participated in Nasha Mukti Abhiyan on 1st Oct.2022 at Azad maidan.

Others

  • 14 N.C.C. Cadets did the firefighting mock drill on 24st June 2022 in college premises.
  • NCC committee conducted Har Ghar Tiranga program under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav in college on 12th Aug.2022.Dr. Ashok Mehta Ex-NCC Cadet and well known Oncologist from Nanavati hospital has been the chief guest for the event. NCC Cadets explain the protocol of hoisting, handling and destroying the National flag.
  • Group Commander Mumbi “B” ; Gp. Capt.Rajesh kumar visited the college NCC unit on 15th Nov.2022.Cadets got an opportunity to interact with such high cadre officer from Armed Forces.
  • 20 NCC Cadets visited Indian Navy Fighter ship “INS TARKASH” on 27th Nov.2022. The Cadets got an unique opportunity to experience the demonstrations and fighting abilities of the fighter ship.
  • 9 NCC Cadets participated in “PRERNA PURASKAR” on 7th Jan.2023 organized by Maharashtra Seva Sangh at Mulund.Lt.Gen(Rtd) Shalish Tinaikar (SM,VSM) guided and motivated the Cadets.
  • 12 Cadets on 22nd Seopt.;15 Cadets on 23rd Sept.22 and 13 Cadets on 24th Jan 2023.participated in firing Navy nagar,Colaba.
  • 16 NCC Cadets are going to appear for NCC “C” Certificate Exam and 14 Cadets are going to appear for NCC “B” Cert.Exam in Feb.2023.
