In one of its biggest launches till date, Kshitij 13 associated itself with the cast of Krrish 3, Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra. The 2013 iteration of Kshitij also witnessed the launch of Bollywood movie, The Jackpot with the star cast of Sunny Leone, Sachin Joshi, along with the music director and playback singers of the movie. The pronites saw a performance by an international artist for the first time when Ukrainian DJ Teri Miko, one of the top 5 women DJs performed live. Also enthralling were DJ Chetas, DJ Veronica, and Sound Avataar. Sponsored by NRG, based on the theme Spectrum Ablaze, K-13 witnessed unprecedented participation, with 100 colleges and 40000 students in attendance. In the 54 events that were staged, the festival saw an average footfall of 10000 students a day between 21st, 22nd and 23rd November. Covered by 60 media personnel, the event received wide media acclaim.
Celebrating the festivals of the world, K-14, sponsored by schmitten, was conducted on 3rd, 4th and 5th December. With this in mind, the theme of the event was Esfera de Fiesta. 3507 contestants from 118 colleges participated across 44 events. This bears testimony to the burgeoning popularity of Kshitij, which was also evident from Kshitij being allowed tickers on Channel VH1. The first day of the event saw the teaser release of Bollywood potboiler Badlapur with Varun Dhawan. Also launched was the teaser of Marathi film Baaji with Shreyas Talpade. Tiger Shroff was a walk in guest who left the audience bemused with his charm. Stand up comedy stars Abhish Matthew and Kanan Gill had the audiences in fits of laughter. The pronites by international DJ- Da Candy, along with DJ Aashiks and Amit Gupta left the audiences enthralled. The major event attraction was Neo Lumiere, a UV act and Kabaddi, events unheard of in the Mumbai circuit.
Each academic year, all college students across the city look forward to attending various college festivals. Of all these, SVKM’s Mithibai Kshitij is the most awaited and anticipated festival. This year, the theme for Kshtij’15 is Legion of Legends, as a mark of tribute and gratitude to all the legends, living and lost, across the world for their infinite contribution to the betterment of life as we know it. The festival was launched by the star-cast of the movie ”Brothers” while the theme launch was held along with the exclusive music launch of the upcoming movie “Shaandaar”. Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandes, Siddharth Malhotra, Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have already made their appearances to cheer and motivate the Kshitij-ites. The preparation for the upcoming festival has begun in full swing. By the looks of it, it can be said that this Kshitij’15 is going to go down in the history of college festivals for its grandeur, pronytes and large scale interesting events.
Mithibai's intercollegiate international cultural festival, “Kshitij- soaring beyond the horizon”, this year was a stellar four day festival which touched a million hearts, made a million memories and cemented a million bonds.
With over 120 colleges and 45,000 people in attendance, the tenth edition, “Kshitij’16- Manifestation of the Mirage” set an enviable benchmark for other college festivals in town.
The journey this year has been star studded; right from the start. From Aishwarya Rai Bachchan coming to inaugurate the festival to a spontaneous promotion of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil by Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma celebrating the decade, we've had celebrity presence throughout.
The four day extravaganza, from the 1st to 4th of December, 2016 kickstarted with a blast. Headed by the Chairperson Harshal Thakkar and a core committee of 29 people, around 350 students worked implausibly to make the cultural extravaganza a grand success. Events ran like clockwork, and notable personalities gracing them praised Kshitij's concepts and management.
The most famous pronytes of the festival welcomed the bass queen DJ Justri who grooved the crowd on her tunes on Day 1, while Manj Musik and Nindy Kaur added their Desi touch on Day 2.
With 60 events in the field of Literary Arts, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Management, Informals, Gaming and Sports, Photography and FilmFest, notable celebrities like Prahlad Kakkar, Ishq Bector, Elli Avram, Neeraj Gaba, Dipshikha Nagpal, Rohan Joshi, Ken Ghosh and many more judged the events. Sharman Joshi along with the cast of "Wajah Tum Ho" entertained the crowd at JRM grounds.
Events like Scorch the floor, Kshitij Model United Nations, Stock it Up, Human Foosball, Cover Shot, Cine-squeeze were the talk of the festival due to its innovative concepts and fabulous execution. The KTM bike stunt show and several sports events where participants showed exemplary display of courage were a crowd magnet. Zealous participants of varying age groups set the stage ablaze with their enthusiasm.
With exhuberant participation, meticulous execution and above all, flawless guidance from the Teachers Committee, we are happy to say that Kshitij touted to be ‘the paragon of all youth fests’ has definitely lived up to its name and through the four days have indeed proved why it's called Asia’s largest growing youth festival!
Signing off, Kshitij promises to come back and soar even higher above the horizon next year!

Soaring beyond the horizon: A Nostalgic Takeover
The flagship festival of Mithibai College Kshitij 2018 achieved greater heights this year scheduled on the 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th of December. Mithibai’s international intercollegiate festival with its theme of the year, A Nostalgic Takeover crossed expectations and limits for every other festival across the country. Growing rapidly and gaining recognition, Kshitij has delivered a grand show this year.
Inaugurated by the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with the promotion of her movie Fanney Khan on 31st July, Kshitij started on a splendorous note.
Kshitij is not just another cultural festival but an organization which strives hard for the betterment of the society by taking personal responsibility of bringing about a change in the world.
- Giving a new meaning to the festival of Raksha Bandhan, Kshitij celebrated Surakshabandhan where they organised a program inviting police officers and had an interactive session on the topic of ‘women safety’ and ‘cyber safety’. The students went to 30 plus police stations and fire stations and covered almost all areas across Mumbai to celebrate the festival.
- On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the students of Kshitij organised a free health check-up for the teaching as well as non-teaching staff of Mithibai College thanking them for their selfless service.
- With the idea of inspiring hope for those fighting against cancer, Mithibai Kshitij and Life Wins organised an interactive program for the pediatric cancer patients at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel. Mithibai Kshitij planned to provide the children, the love and care they deserve during the most difficult phase of their lives.
- On the occasion of World Toilet Day, Kshitij and Aquakraft came together for ‘Swachhagraha’ and launched India’s first iToilet with MLA Raju Gouda. They also had amongst them the famous Youtube sensation and Indian Television host, Sahil Khattar, for the Swachh Talks conversation with Dr. Subramanya Kusnur where they spoke about the need of awareness amongst youth about sanitations and toilets.
Starting on 8th with magnificence and opening on a splendrous note as we witnessed an exhilarating night, the first pronite which commenced with an amazing performance when Bollywood’s most spirited music duo, Vishal and Shekhar set the stage in JRM Ground, Mithibai College on fire.
The next day, 2000 people gathered to support a cleaner and greener India with Green Run, India’s first Swacchthon, a challenging 7km run covering areas in Juhu and Vile Parle. The Green Run was an ultimate success and triumphant in nurturing the nature and enriching the environment with a vision of proliferating the development of our country. The same evening was filled with great humour and laugh as famous stand-up comedians, Atul Khatri, Sorabh Pant and Gaurav Kapoor performed in JRM Grounds, leaving everyone in the audience rolling in laughter with their whimsical performances.
On the third day, Kshitij held a conclave show as they took a path down the memory lane with famous personalities like Mallika Dua, Rajit Kapur, Darshan Jariwala, Dinesh Nair and Dhanushkodi Shivanandan. The crowd was enthralled to see them and was highly motivated as they listened to their stories with keen interest. The final Pronite of Kshitij witnessed a sea of exploding emotions when the Bollywood singing sensation, Arjun Kanungo performed at Kshitij’18.
The last day of Kshitij had the best events like Mixed Martial Arts and Street Dance which brought everyone spread across the college down on JRM Ground with their eyes stuck to the sight of the competitors highly motivated to take the title of the winner home.
Popular movie films like ‘Kedarnath’, ‘Accidental Prime Minister’, ‘Mumbai Pune Mumbai 3’ & ‘Midnight with Menka’ were promoted at Kshitij’18 by the Stalwarts of the popular movie films during the festival.
The festival was graced by well-known personalities like Sara Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, Shahid Mallya, Abhijeet Sawant, Kautuk Srivastava, Devender Walmik, Aahana Kumra and Darasingh Khurana making it a bigger and larger success.
The Public Relations team of Kshitij’18 could manage to get coverage in leading newspapers like The Times of India, Hindustan Times, The Afternoon, DNA, Country and Politics, Mumbai Local, Lokmat, Mumbai Live, Mid-Day, Maharashtra Times, Hello Mumbai, Mangala Times, Gujrat Samachar, etc. We’ve also had live media coverage from famous news channels like Zee News, ABP News, NDTV, TV9, Jai Maharashtra, Sakal, etc.
The felicitation ceremony had all 600 working members coming together for the last time in Kshitij’18 to thank each other for taking the festival to the peak of phenomena and reminding that Kshitij is not just another cultural festival but an organisation which strives hard for the betterment of the society by taking personal responsibility of bringing about a change in the world.
