B.A in Economics
equips our students to understand, analyze and address complex local, national
and international economic issues by applying creative thinking skills and
appropriate quantitative techniques and prepares them for diverse careers in
academia, financial markets, banking, insurance, credit rating, civil services,
etc. Economics students have one of the highest employability records of all
social sciences. Population explosion, limited resources, diverse wants,
absolute deprivation, denial of choices and opportunities, glaring income
inequalities, environmental degradation, financial crisis, slowdown of economic
growth, rising unemployment, inflation, fiscal deficits and balance of payments
problems will occupy economists for many years to come, making economics more
important, exciting and challenging than ever.
