  • Priyandra Tiwari and Rahul Singh from NSS unit of Mithibai College attended ‘International Yoga Camp’ from 16th June, 2018 to 21st June, 2018. This camp was organized by University of Mumbai at sport complex, Kalina, Santacruz.
  • Four NSS Volunteers participated in Cloth Bag Making Training session organized by Rizvi College on 4th August, 2018.
  • Spruha Shah from NSS unit of Mithibai College participated in poster making competition on “Organ Donation” organised by N L College on 11th August, 2018. She secured 3rd position in the competition.
  • Two students from NSS participated in Cycle Rally (Cyclathon) organized by N. K. College on “Organ Donation Awareness” on 13th August, 2018.
  • NSS Unit conduct Clean up drive at Sanjay Gandhi National Park on 15th August, 2018 under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
  • NSS Volunteers organised “Sale of Rakhi” made by mentally retarded children from 20th August, 2018 to 24th August, 2018.
  • Two students participated in AIDS awareness workshop organized by MDACS (Mumbai District AIDS Control Society) on 30th August, 2018.
  • NSS volunteers participation in “Fire Mock Drill Training” on 31st August, 2018.
  • NSS Unit of Mithibai organised “Orientation programme” on September 11, 2018 for the new volunteers of NSS.
  • Mithibai NSS volunteers participated in “ANTI PLASTIC CAMPAIGN” on September 8, 2018.   There were 27 volunteer participated in the event.
  • Mithibai NSS Volunteers assisted traffic police on the occasion of Ganpati Visarjan in “Traffic Control” on 14th and 17th September, 2018.
  • Mithibai NSS volunteers participated in “International Beach Clean-up Day” on September 15th, 2018. This event was organised by Indian Cost Guard.
  • Under the “ Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” initiatives,  Mithibai NSS volunteers organised Juhu Beach Clean- up drive on post 7days of Ganpati Visarjan on 20th September, 2018.
  • Mithibai NSS volunteers attended “Yuvak Melava Programme” organised by DTSS College on 24th September, 2018.  In that, Spruha Shah from NSS unit of Mithibai College awarded with 3rd prize in Poster Making Competition. In Quiz Competition, Spruha Shah and Pratvi Shah were 1st Runner up.
  • Mithibai NSS Unit organised a talk on “Organ Donation” by Mr. Subhash Kela on 25th September, 2018.
  • On 29th, 30th September, 2018 and 1st October, 2018, The students of Mithibai College, in collaboration with the National Test House [NTH], Andheri [East] took an initiative of stressing on the Swachh Bharat Mission, by painting the walls of NTH, making them beautiful and devoid of pan stains and posters. 
  • Two students participated in 5 days workshop organized by MAVA (Men against Violence and Abuse) from 20th August, 2018 to 24th August, 2018.
  • Yamini Atre and Neelkanth Vyas from NSS Unit successfully completed 5 days Leadership Training Camp (LTC) at University of Mumbai from 26th September, 2018 to 30th September, 2018.
  • Mithibai NSS Unit organised “Blood Donation Camp” along with “Organ Donation Drive” on 1st October, 2018.
  • NSS Volunteers participated in “Nasha Bandi Rally” on 1st October, 2018.
  • NSS Unit conduct Clean up drive at Sanjay Gandhi National Park on 2nd October, 2018 under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
  • NSS Volunteers attended “Bhajan Sandhya” on 2nd October, 2018 at Gate Way of India.
  • NSS Volunteers participated “Art Paath Shaala” under Daan Utsav wherein school children were taught Paper Bag Making Activity to make children aware of environment conservation on 6th October, 2018.
  • NSS Volunteers participated in “Goonj Bus Campaign” under Daan Utsav wherein volunteers assisted NGO Goonj in collecting Old Clothes to be donated to the needy people on 7th October, 2018.
  • NSS Volunteers visited to “Mani Bhavan” on 13th October, 2018.
  • NSS Volunteers participated in Women Empowerment Survey in collaboration with NMINS.
  • NSS Volunteers participated in street paly competition and performed street play on account of Shahid Divas at the Marol Police Training Centre on 18th October, 2018.
  • On 20th October, there were 22 NSS Volunteers participated in Pink Walk Rally at Malad for Breast Cancer Awareness. 
  • NSS Volunteers attended the inaugural event of “Holistic Wellbeing Centre” in Mithibai College on 25th, October, 2018.
  • 7 NSS Volunteers participated in the event called “Run for Unity” in the memory of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti on 31st October, 2018.
  • NSS Volunteers conducted “Unity Day Pledge Signing Activity” in College foyer area and Juhu Police station on 31 October, 2018.
  • NSS volunteers won five trophies in the Inter Collegiate Road Safety Competition held on 4th November, 2018 at Patuck Gala College Santacruz (E)
Mithibai College N.S.S. Unit assists Forest Department for “13 criteria Van Mahotsav”
There is no planet B” , were the words of the French President during the Climate Change Summit in Paris. Acknowledging the pressing issue of climate change and the need to adopt some ways to preserve our environment, Mithibai NSS zealously worked in the event, “13 crore Van Mahotsav” on 6th July 2018 at Kelva Road, Mohade, Palghar. Principal Dr. Rajpal Shripat Hande inaugurated this initiative by planting a sapling in the campus of Mithibai College on 5th July 2018. There were two faculty members namely Mr. Rakesh Panse and Dr. Pradeep Saymote along with 27 N.S.S. student volunteers participated in this initiative. Our volunteers planted more than 350 saplings. The N.S.S. student volunteers returned with a sense of fulfilment for having contributed towards making the environment better for a ‘clean and green’ future.
Celebration of 4th International Yoga Day by Mithibai N.S.S. Unit
The 4th International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2018 by the NSS unit, N.C.C. unit and Department of Philosophy of Mithibai College. The theme of this year's Yoga day was declared by the UN as 'Yoga for peace'. A large number of students and faculty attended the session with great enthusiasm. The Principal Dr. Rajpal Shripat Hande inaugurated the function with the lighting of the lamp, and followed by an address to the audience of the importance of Yoga in our lives. He also extended oath to gathering for integrate yoga in everyday life for wellbeing. The guest of honor for the event was Mr. Bharat Chawda and his assistant Ms. Kavita Nahar from Kaivalydham Yoga institute. The session consisted of Pranayam followed by basic Kriyas which are essential for the smooth functioning of our body system.  Priyanka Tiwari and Rahul Singh from NSS unit of Mithibai College attended ‘International Yoga Camp’ from 16th June, 2018 to 21st June, 2018. This camp was organized by University of Mumbai at sport complex, Kalina, Santacruz.
PULSE POLIO DRIVE
Mithibai NSS participated in Pulse polio drive organized on 5th August, 2018. A total of 53 student volunteers participated in this drive. A major highlight of the event was the enthusiasm shown by our volunteers. The highly motivated volunteers showcased the exemplary spirit of NSS, "Not Me But You" in their actions. They not only conducted vaccinations of children but also visited many houses to make people aware of the pulse polio drive. The volunteers widened their horizon while working towards a better future of the country.
GURU PURNIMA
We celebrated Guru Purnima - to honor and thank our teacher, our Guru who are pillars to our success. Mithibai NSS commenced its celebration with lamp lighting and Gayatri Mantra sung by one of our student, Radhika Nath on 26th of July 2018. The Prayer was followed by a classical dance performed by Aishwarya Baskaran on Ganesh Vandana. Radhika and one of our volunteer Diamond Fabwani made the event more memorable by a duet song. The last item of the event was a drama which emphasized the importance of teacher in our lives. A skit was performed by our talented NSS volunteers and was coordinated by Rahul Singh. The day reminded us to respect our teachers who teach not by the book but by the heart.
