Mithibai College has produced a galaxy of International and National level Sports persons in the last 40 years. Some of our students have won Arjuna and Shiv Chhatrapati Awards.  Some of the prominent names to be mentioned are Pravin Amre – Cricket, Ami Ghia – Badminton, Siddhanth Thingalaya – Athletics, Deepali Anvekar – Squash,  Dwija Asher – Gymnastics, Wasim Jaffer and Amol Muzumdar – Cricket, Brinston Miranda and Ajit Naik – Athletics.

Our College participates in nearly 28 sports events at the Inter Collegiate University of Mumbai Tournaments for Men and Women. Nearly 2000 students participate in the selection tract in various sports conducted by Gymkhana in order to select the best to represent our College at the Inter Collegiate District State and National Level Tournaments.

Our College provides training facility for students in Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Baseball, Athletics, Handball, Judo at different grounds and venues.  Special Allowances are given to students who participates at the  State, National and International levels.  The University of Mumbai gives 10 Grace marks to students who reached the First 8 position in individual and team championship.

The Gymkhana is on the 3rd Floor of the Main Building.  We have recreation games like Chess, Table Tennis, Carom facility for the student to play with different timings for Boys and Girls.

We urge student to come and participate in all sports activities of our Gymkhana.

We also conduct Inter College Tournaments and we also have a sports day for students Teaching staff and Non-Teaching Staff who participate in large numbers.

Students are requested to see the Gymkhana Notice Board to keep them self update about various Sports events and selection trails. All facilities are given to sportspersons of Mithibai for representing college.  Let us together keep the glorious tradition of sports in Mithibai.

2016-17

  • Master Rohan Samant won the singles title and the doubles title with Karan Pandey at the University of Mumbai Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament.
  • Ms. Sharmin Rizvi won a Bronze Medal in the above tournament.
  • Master Rohan Samant was selected to represent University of Mumbai at the West Zone Interuniversity Tennis Tournament.  He was the member of the Runner up team.
  • Ms. Karishma Wadkar won 2 Bronze Medals in a Mixed  Doubles and Doubles Badminton Tournament senior level  held Kadappa. 
  • Miss Poorti Purohit represented University of Mumbai at the All Maharahstra Inter University Ashwamedh Basketball Tournament held at Parbhani and she was the member of the Gold Medal winning team.
  • Master Rohan Samant participated at the National Level Tennis Tournament.
  • Mithibai College Girls team came second runner up at the University of Mumbai Intercollegiate Baseball Tournament held at Panvel.
  • Pushti Manek won a Silver Medal at Pune in Thai Boxing State Championship.
Activities conducted by Gymkhana for the year 2016 – 17.
  • Mithibai College conducted the University of Mumbai Inter Collegiate Tennis Tournament for Men and Women at Kalina Campus.
  • Mithibai College Sports Day was held on 17th December, 2016 at Jamnabai Ground  for students, teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Ms. Karishma Wadkar represented University of Mumbai at the All India Inter-University West Zone Tennis Tournament at Latur.
  • Ms. Sharmin Rizvi participated at the All India Tennis Tournament held in Mumbai. She selected to represent University of Mumbai at the West Zone Tennis Tournament
  • Ms. Prachi Shembekar won a Gold Medal in Yoga at the University of Mumbai Intercollegiate Yoga Competition.
  • Ms. Prachi Shembekar and Rahul Patel are selected to represent University of Mumbai at the All India Yoga Competition.
  • Ms. Heena Panchal won the carom singles at the Intercollege KES College festival tournament.

2015-16

Karishma  Sandeep  Wadkar – BADMINTON
Winner of Gold Medal at the All India Ranking Tournament at Cochin, June, 2015.
Member of the Indian Junior Team, represented  INDIA  in the JR. ASIAN BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIPS  held at Bangkok in July, 2015.
Ranked #1st  Doubles Pair in India U-19 Girls.

Parth Hendre of T.Y.B.A. won 3 Golds at the Interdivisional District level 2nd Zonal Competition for Paraolympic Swimming in 100 free style 100 mts. Butterfly 1000 mts. Back Strokes.

Table Tennis
Our Degree College Girls Team came 2nd Runner Up in the University of Mumbai Inter College Table Tennis Team Championship.

Swimming
Master Atharva Dhandekar won 5 medals at the University of Mubai Inter College Swimming Competition 50 mts. Back stroke Gold 200 mts. Backstroke Gold 100 mts. Breast Stroke Silver 200 mts. Breast Stroke Silver 50 Mts. Breast Stroke Bronze.
He also won 4 Golds and 1 Silver medal at the District level Swimming Competition.  He is now selected for the State Competition.  In 50 mt. back stroke Gold, 200 mt. Back Stroke Gold, 800 mt. Free Style Gold, 1500 mts. Free S tyle Gold and 100 mt. back stroke Silver.

Badminton
Ms. Karishma Wadkar won the Singles title of the University of Mumbai.  Inter College Badminton Tournament.  Our College team came Runner Up in Badminton Team Championship University of Mumbai Inter College Tournament.
Miss Karishma took part in the National level Badminton Tournament held at Nanded.

Lawn Tennis
Miss Sharmeen Rizvi took part in the ITF International Tennis Federation Tennis Tournament.
She is selected to represent University  of Mumbai for the All India Inter University West Zone Tennis Tournament.

Rifle Shooting
Abiraj Singh Parmar won  a Gold in Pistol Shooting Competition at the State level Competition held at M.P.

Taekwondo
Shantanu Sagar won Gold medal at the District Level Federation Taekwondo Championship and he is selected to represent Mumbai for the Maharashtra State Level Taekwondo Championship to be held in SANGLI.

Swimming
Master Atharva Dandekar won a Bronze Medal in 200 mt. Back Stroke at the Maharashtra State Swimming Championship  in Mens.

Softball
Ms. Kinjal Mehta represented  Mumbai suburb for the Maharashtra State Softball Championship.

Basketball
Girls Basketball Team reached the Quarterfinals  of University of Mumbai Intercollege Basketball Tournament.  Miss Poorti Purohit is selected to represent  Mumbai University for the West Zone Inter University Basketball Championship to be held in Jaipur.
Miss Karishma Wadkar won a Silver Medal in doubles at the National Badminton Championship.
Mr. Parth Hendre won 4 silver and 3 Bronze medals at the National Paraolympic Swimming Competition.
Mr. Rohan Samant had been selected to represent University of Mumbai for All India Interuniversity Tennis Tournament.  He also participated at the International Tennis Tournament.
Miss Heena Panchal won the Title in Carrom at the Parle Mahotsav Games.
Ms. Kritida Rathod won a Bronze Medal at the State Level Athletic Meet.
Mr. Rahul Patel won a Bronze Medal at the University of Mumbai Intercollegiate  Yoga Competition and selected to represent University of Mumbai at the All India Inter-University Yoga Competition.
Ms. Heeena Panchal won a Bronze Medal at the Intercollegiate University of Mumbai Carrom Competition in Singles.
Mithibai College  girls Softball team won a Silver medal at the Intercollegiate University of Mumbai Softball Tournament held at Panvel.
Baseball Girls Team won a bronze medal at the university of Mumbai Intercollegiate Baseball Tournament.
Mithibai College organized the Intercollegiate University of Mumbai Tennis Tournament for Men and Women at Kalina Campus.
Mithibai College won the Overall General Team Championship at the SVKM Inter Institution  Mega Sports and Cultural Fest  with 380 points and won 18 titles
