KIRAN - Cultural fest of KC College
  • Mithibai College won the 1st prize in Kiran, the cultural fest of KC College.
  • We also won the Fine Arts & Systematic Chaos Trophy.

ELOCUTION COMPETITION AT DYANSADANA COLLEGE, THANE
  • Mithibai College secured 4th position!
ANNUAL TALENT SEARCH 2018 – MITHIBAI COLLEGE
  • The Annual Talent Search of Mithibai College was held on 4 days in August. The Eliminations were held on 7th and 11th August, 2018 and the finals took place on 25th and 27th August, 2018 in the Juhu Jagruti Hall of Mithibai college. 
  • There were around 700 registrations for 22 different events for the elimination round. In the final round a total of around 200 participants were selected.
  • Since this year Mithibai College decided to dedicate the year 2018-19 to the alumni of Mithibai College, the judges were ex-students in order to promote the importance of Cultural Activities. 
  • A myriad of events witnessed some stellar performances and incredible artwork put up by the students of Mithibai College. The winners and student volunteers were felicitated by awarding a certificate to them.

‘SURAKSHA BANDHAN’ by KSHITIJ ‘18

  • ·         Celebrated ‘Suraksha Bandhan’ to express its gratitude towards the real heroes of our city - The Mumbai Police.
  • ·         This small activity was our way to thank them for their relentless efforts and selfless dedication, as it has inspired greatness within the community.

Kshitij team went to the Traffic Police Head Office in Worli. They celebrated the festival with the Jt. Commissioner of Traffic Police, Mr. Amitesh Kumar by tying rakhi to him and all the policemen who were present there.

Assistant Police Inspector Mr. Nitin Ashok Kame gave a talk about ‘women safety’ and ‘cyber safety’ which was followed by an interactive session in Juhu Jagruti Hall.

The organising committee of Kshitij visited police stations in the areas Borivali, Jogeshwari, Andheri, Vile Parle, Santacruz, Khar. Bandra,BKC, Matunga, Fort, Churchgate and many more to celebrate the festival with police officials. As a symbol of trust and gratitude the working committee of Kshitij tied rakhi to the civil force servants and presented small tokens of appreciation.

TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION
  • The Mithibai Kshitij team organized a Free-Health Check-up on 5th September, 2018 in the ground floor foyer area from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. 
  • The results were emailed to the teachers.
MITHIBAI KSHITIJ GIVES HOPE TO CANCER PATIENTS
  • Mithibai College’s Inter Collegiate Cultural festival Kshitij and Life Wins Foundation, organised an interactive program for the paediatric cancer patients on 11th September, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel.
  • With around 80 patients from the age group of 4 to 18 including their   caretakers, the event included an origami workshop, an enthralling dance performance, a magic show to leave them in awe and wonder, a beat boxing and music showcase for them to rejoice in peace and harmony. After this, the organising committee played various games with the children, where they got small gifts as prizes. They were provided with refreshments and little tokens of love in the form of goodie bags.
SWACHHAGRAHA
  • On the occasion of World Toilet Day, 19th November 2018, Kshitij and Aquakraft associated for ‘Swachhagraha’ and hosted a conference titled ‘Swachh Bharat Sach Hoga - Redefining the narrative of cleanliness beyond Toilets’. India’s first i-Toilet purposed to be installed at public places in Mumbai was launched at Mukesh Patel Auditorium. Over 600 students participated and took the pledge for cleaner and greener India.

Soaring beyond the horizon: A Nostalgic Takeover
The flagship festival of Mithibai College Kshitij 2018 achieved greater heights this year. Conducted from 8-11 December, 2018, the festival was inaugurated by celebrity actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on 31st July, 2018.

Pre-festival Activities: The festival sparked fire by conducting a host of pre-festival activities such as Surakshabandhan, Teachers’ Day celebration, program for cancer patients as well as hosting the Swachhagraha. Participation in these activities was fantastic with 1682 runners for the Swachhagraha (7km marathon) and about 110 colleges with a footfall of over 40,000 people spanning the four days!!!

Celebrity Participation: This year Kshitij received the highest amount of sponsorship from renowned companies such as Aditya Birla Capital, Jack & Jones, Skechers, Toyota and many more. Celebrities and judges like Sara Ali Khan, Swapnil Joshi, Mukta Barve, Malhar Thakar, Ahana Kumra Vatsal Sheth, Sunny Singh, Abhijeet Sawant, Anup Jalota, Asees Kaur, Shruti Sinha, Shahid Mallya, Sajid Samji etc. witnessed the festival. The star cast of recent movies such as Kedarnath, Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai 3, Midnight with Menka & The Accidental Prime Minister promoted the same within the crowd.

Media Coverage: This year the festival set a benchmark by getting featured in several media platforms – Leading newspapers such as Times of India, Hindustan Times, DNA, Mid-Day, Gujarat Samachar & Maharashtra Times.Radio channels such as Red FM 93.5 and Magic FM 106.4.Gold Cinema Halls all over Mumbai.Outdoor Hoardings.News and media channels like ZEE News, ABP News, NDTV, TV9, Jai Maharashtra & Sakal.Digital Media such as Times Now & Cartoon Network.

Pronites & Conclaves: The highlight of Kshitij 2018 were the Pronites and Conclaves: Popular Bollywood Duo, Vishal & Shekhar and Arjun Kanungo performed live at JRM Grounds. A conclave about “A Nostalgic Takeover” was organized with esteemed panellists who shared their experiences and motivational stories. Panellists such as :-Mallika Dua, a famous comedian and Youtuber well known amongst the youth.Rajit Kapur, an eminent actor director and producer, senior theatre personality. Darshan Jariwala, senior theatre personality. Dhanushkodi Shivanandan one of India’s highly regarded IPS officers.Dinesh Nair, the Founder and Director of AIFC who has represented India in the Pre Olympus in Football and played for top Indian Football Clubs.
