Colosseum (B.M.S)

Colosseum is one of the city’s best intercollegiate management event organised by the students Mithibai College’s Self-Financed courses (BMS, BAF, BFM, BBI). Colosseum is also one of the oldest management festivals, now in its 17th year and has been growing in participation every year. This student driven event puts their management skills to test; here they live the practical side of business as they organise for sponsorship, manage people and teams and promote the event.

Colosseum 16

The 16th edition of Colosseum was held on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of December 2015. Colosseum 16 lived up to its name and position as the students displayed the best of management and creative prowess.
This year saw a record participation of 76 colleges from around the city, these colleges competed in about 30 events all conceptualised and managed by students. Most of these events were related to the field of management, followed by literary and fine arts, gaming and sports.  Finally it was MMK College from Bandra that took the top spot and was declared the overall winner in Colosseum 16.
The students also managed to rope in a many celebrities, the lead actors of the film Hate Story 3 – Sharman Joshi, Karan Singh Grover and Daisy Shah visited the event on day 2, 3 lead actors Nushrat Bharucha, Ishita Raj Sharma and Sunny Singh from Pyaar Ka Panchnama 2 were the judges for the fashion show event, and Sonalli Sehgall a lead from the same film was the chief guest for the inauguration of the fest.
The pronites of Colosseum 16 were indeed memorable and out of the box. On 3rd of December Colosseum organized a never seen before Glow Party with Mohit Gaur and Arjun Kanungo performing for a crowd of 4000 people. Mithibai College students Akasa Singh, Asa Singh and Samarth Swarup performed amidst the crowd of about 4500 at the JRM ground on the 4th of December; This was followed by a high energy performance by the Baadshah of rap 'Baadshah'.
In its 16th year Colosseum reached new heights and served its purpose of giving students a platform to perform and put their managements skills learnt in the classrooms to test.
